This Privacy Policy describes how Friendly Voice AAC ("the App") handles your information. Your privacy is our priority, and this App is designed to be a safe, private tool for Augmented and Alternative Communication (AAC).

1. Information Collection and Use

Friendly Voice AAC is built with privacy in mind. We do not require you to create an account, provide an email address, or share any personal identity information to use the App.

2. Camera Access and Image Usage

The App requests the android.permission.CAMERA for one specific purpose:

Customized Buttons: To allow users to take photos of real-world objects or people to use as visual backgrounds for communication buttons.

        How we handle these images:
        No Uploads: Any photos taken or selected within the App are stored locally on your device.
No Sharing: These images are never uploaded to our servers, shared with third parties, or used for any purpose other than personalizing your AAC interface.
Local Processing: The camera data is processed only to capture the image you choose; we do not perform facial recognition or any other form of biometric analysis.

    

3. Data Storage

All data, including your customized buttons and saved phrases, remains on your mobile device. If you delete the App, this data is typically removed by the Android operating system according to your device settings.

4. Third-Party Access

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your information or images to outside parties. Because the App operates locally, no third-party service providers have access to your camera feed or your saved images.

5. Children’s Privacy

As an AAC tool, this App is intended for users of all ages, including children. We do not collect any personal information from children (or any other users), in compliance with COPPA and global privacy standards.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. You are advised to review this page periodically for any changes.
